Welcome vendors and local producers! Whether you are a seasoned farmer, home baker, craftsperson, or agricultural entrepreneur, the Martin County Farmers Market provides a direct-to-consumer outlet to sell your goods. Operated in partnership with the Martin County Farmers Market Association and NC Cooperative Extension, our market supports local agriculture and small business growth.

All products sold must be grown, produced, baked, or crafted by the vendor within North Carolina (preference given to Martin and adjacent counties).

• Fresh Produce: fruits, vegetables, berries, herbs, and cut flowers
• Protein & Dairy: beef, pork, poultry, eggs, and cheese (must meet NCDA&CS temperature and storage guidelines).
• Baked Goods & Preserves: breads, pies, cookies, jams, jellies, and pickles made in compliance with NCDA home-processor rules.
• Honey & Hive Products: Pure local honey labeled per state standards.
• Nursery & Plants: Vegetable starts, bedding plants, perennials, and potted flora.
• Handmade Crafts: High-quality, original handcrafted items (subject to manager review).

To sell at the market, vendors are encouraged to join the Martin County Farmer's Market Association.

Vendors are responsible for obtaining proper state permits before their first day of sales:

• Home Processors: Bake goods require an official inspection/approval letter from the NCDA&CS Food & Drug Protection Division.
• Egg Sales: Eggs must be maintained at 45°F or lower and labeled with the producer's name, address, pack date, and grade/size.
• Meat & Refrigerated Items: Meat must be processed at a state-or federally-inspected plant and kept frozen at the market.
• Scales: Any scales used to sell produce by weight must be inspected by the NCDA Standards Division.

2. Prepare Documentation: Gather copies of required NCDA inspection letters, scale certifications, NCDOR sales and use tax form, or liability insurance (if applicable).
